I need a wall color that compliments pink and orange.?

I went for analogous color so my decor is mostly pink and orange (pillows, curtains, flowers, etc.) and with lilac paint, but i am starting to feel that it clashes. I need some expert advise. Should i change the wall color? Problem is i don%26#039;t want white or beige or any neutral color.

Reply:no problem...lol...here is your %26quot;expert advice%26quot;. i am an artist and i decorated my room. generally you want to revolve your room around three colors. lilac paint probably isn%26#039;t the best choice. pinks and oranges are in the hot color group. yellow would probably be the best color to compliment the oranges and pinks...it is also in the hot color group. love the choices...lol...the same as my room. :)

what you could do is take a corral and lighten it to pastel shade or you could try for a sunrise effect, also pastel.

Reply:I think orange clashes with lilac so i would go for another colour definitely. Pink and Orange do tend to work well together on most occasions. Your trouble is trying to get a colour to go with both. You could try a yellow either a pale or dark (NOT FLURO), the shade depending on how dark your pinks and oranges are. Some kind of shade of brown might also work IE either a tan or a chocolate brown again depending on what shade your pinks and oranges are

Reply:I would definitely change the wall color. That sounds like a nightmare lol. You should go with yellow as it will complement the orange the pink . I think it would look great. I have been painting for 13 years and know about what looks good with different palletes. I wouldn%26#039;t go too bright though. A warm yellow would work the best
Reply:If you want to stick to orange and pink, get rid of the lilac. Use accent colors of green and yellow.
